Multi-Storey Parkade Construction: Progress Update

The construction of the Multi-Storey Parkade at Lanseria International Airport is gaining steady momentum as the initial phase of the project comes to conclusion. In the interest of ensuring uninterrupted operations and access to the terminal building, Lanseria International Airport has adopted a phased approach.

The enablement stage, which involved excavation and preparatory works to clear the area for the foundation of the upcoming covered parking building, is approximately 80% complete. Simultaneously, the next phase has commenced, introducing construction work for the elevated roadway and underground walkway.

“We expect to open the elevated roadway in November this year, in time for peak season traffic to ensure our customers will enjoy a convenient start to their air travel journey when they fly to or from Lanseria International Airport,” says Gavin Sayce, Chief Operations Officer.

“As we gain more momentum on the project, our technical team has implemented all the necessary measures to minimise any potential inconveniences and noise levels for passengers and airport users while using the airport. We do however, encourage our customers to exercise caution and take note of the directional signage that has been erected in line with our safety policies,” added Sayce.

Safety and convenience remains our priority. The construction of the upcoming three-level MSP is on track with the next phase due for completion by end of September 2018.
